It wasn’t that long ago when the only signs of technology in hotel rooms were the big screen TV and remote control. Today, hotels like 4 star resort in Pattaya have electronic locks, electronic safe, integrated electric control panel for lights, air conditioning and alarm and a 40-inch LED TV. Omnipresent is high-speed internet connection.

It is too obvious that the hospitality industry is no longer lagging behind when it comes to technology. A few months ago, Amazon launched Alexa for Hospitality which a special version of a voice control device. Many people are accustomed to Alexa in their homes to turn on the lights, order pizza and provide information on what channel a game can be watched.

Alexa for Hospitality will be customized according to location. Guests will enjoy an Alexa experience in their hotel rooms when they request for housekeeping, order room service or adjust room controls. Hotel rooms will use the Amazon Echo so that guests can ask specific questions like the opening and closing time of the pool and fitness centre.

Another technology that is a good fit for the hospitality industry is artificial intelligence (AI).Marriott’s Innovation Lab is working with Samsung and Legrand go create an IoT Guest Room Lab that will use the Internet of Things for improvement and personalization of guest experience. The technology will also improve the creation of hotel room design and construction.

The IoT guest room will include several responsive IoT systems, devices and applications that will communicate with each other in serving guests and optimizing hotel operations. Guests expect that everything in their lives will be optimized and provided to enhance hotel experience. By leveraging on voice-enabled and mobile technology, hotels will be able to set rooms according to the guest’s preferences. The room can be designed as an ultimate relaxation environment or something productive for business travellers.

Meanwhile, aside from in-room facilities and amenities, 4 star resort in Pattaya offers guests with additional services that range from babysitting & baby cot, dry cleaning & laundry, luggage storage, airport service, concierge, 24-hour reception and shuttle service. The rooftop bar, outdoor pool and fitness centre will help guests relax and de-stress.
